Design of Payment Options for E-commerce of the Company

This master's thesis deals with the design of a suitable payment system for a newly emerging e-shop. It analyzes the e-business environment and informs about existing payment methods, their advantages and disadvantages. Last but not least, this thesis deals with the development of electronic payments in the Czech Republic. The main part of the work is the analysis of various payment methods and their comparison on several levels.
Consumer Protection in the area of Online Payments made by Payment Cards

This thesis analyses the legal frameworks governing consumer protection in the area of online payments made by debit and credit cards in the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom and the United States. The relevant legal provisions of the European Union are analysed as well. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter deals with consumer protection in the area of online payments made by debit cards. This chapter focuses on the liability for any unauthorized payment transactions made by debit cards and the cases of no consumer's liability, limited consumer's liability and unlimited consumer's liability are discussed there. It is also concerned with the issues of authorization of payment transactions made by debit cards, the limitations on the use of debit cards, specific obligations of both the consumer and the payment provider concerning the use of debit cards, the burden of proof and notification of unauthorized payment transactions made by debit cards. Finally, the legal frameworks of countries mentioned above dealing with consumer protection in the area of online payments made by debit cards are compared. The second chapter deals with the same topics as the first chapter, however, it is from the perspective of consumer protection in the area of online payments made by credit cards....
Analysis of the cashless payment system via credit cards in the Czech Republic - legal and economic aspects

Thesis describes system of cashless transfer by payment cards in the Czech Republic out of two perspectives - economic and legal. The first one brings insight to this subject and to use of payment cards as a system incorporated to today's economics. Describing economic power of this tools in contemporary economic environment. Second view describes laws and other legal necessities needed for working environment of electronic payment devices.
Analysis of the payment card market in the Czech Republic

The subject of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of availible data on the payment card market in the Czech Republic in years 2001 to 2016. The theoretical part focuses on the history of payment cards and when they first appeared in the territory of the Czech Republic. It further divides payment cards into several groups according to the type or technology used. The purpose of the thesis is to find out how the card market has developed, wheter Visa or MasterCard has the major share of the issued payment cards and to quantify the parameters of non-cash payments in the Czech Republic. Due to the similar level of development of contactless payment in both countries, part of the work is intended to be compared with the Slovak Republic. The last chapter presents current variants of mobile payment in several world countries and available options in the Czech Republic.
Comparison of bank charges in Czech and Slovak banking system

This bachelor thesis examines the differences in banking fees in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The aim is to find out differences in the amount of fees charged in Euros in Slovakia or in Czech Crowns in Czech Republic. The paper analyzes certain selected fees that occur on both bank markets. Firstly, relevant details of the functioning of the banking sector in both countries are defined. Secondly, it describes how and why the fees have been incurred, as well as their defined terms. Further, there are described different charges, the reasons for their existence and their use. Finally, bank charges are analyzed using spreadsheets and compared after a calculated exchange rate.

Actual trends in contactless payment, contribution of Apple and analysis of market in the Czech Republic including consumer preferences

The main objective of this work is to analyze current trends in contactless payments and consequently implement it on the Czech market. On this base this thesis deals with several wearable devices. Furthermore on this base is also working in the application part, where is one of the secondary objectives of the work to determine consumer preferences on the market of the Czech Republic. One of the secondary objectives is create a brief summary of the history of payment cards and within the sociological aspect to find a certain analogy in introducing innovations in the field of payments towards current trends in contactless methods. Within the secondary objectives there are simultaneously defined key assumptions forms of payment for success on the market. The following section focuses on electronic payments. Specifically, it deals with trends in electronic payment services, where for its implementation aren´t required the physical presence of the card or chip. Furthermore there are analyzed alternative paths in the current payment methods, namely peer-to-peer platforms. On these platforms is based shared economy, which also represents an interesting potential for the possible development of payment field. Chapter with alternative methods for cashless is finished by analyzing digital currencies. The hypothesis of this thesis is whether Apple can have an impact on the area of contactless payments and how it can affect the entire sector. Part of the hypothesis is the claim that Apple manages to change the area of contactless payments, such as happenede in the music industry with iTunes and then in the telecommunications industry with a revolutionary iPhone. Potential benefit of Apple is defined by the method of description. Potential contribution of Apple Pay is characterized by logical deduction base on previous relationships. Conclusion is by quantitative research method, namely through the consumer research, assessed consumer preferences in the Czech Repulic and is also evaluated the hypothesis of potential benefits of Apple contactless payments.

Techniques and security in cases of fraud of selected types of Electronic banking

The main topic of the thesis are different methods of Electronic banking fraud and options of Electronic banking security. The history of Electronic banking and current legal regulations including definition of some ambigious terms are described in the first part. In this part there are also described means of remote access to Electronic banking, which also outlines present options of online communication with the bank. Analysis of different methods and practical forms of fraud of different kinds of Electronic banking are described in the next part. The fraud of payment cards and internet banking are those that are mostly specified. Various types of security and fraud prevention including solutions of problems that may arise are outlined in the last part. Responsibility for fraud is portrayed in the very last part of the thesis.
